The Fourth Element Splash Snorkel is a snorkel with a wave deflector at the top and a one-way purge valve at the bottom to keep the airway clear from water.

The lower section has a small water trap that collects any water that does find its way into the snorkel and keeps it away from your mouthpiece and you can still breathe around it. A one-way valve pushes any water out of the bottom of the snorkel every time you exhale which is much easier than having to clear the entire snorkel.
