Manufacturer Fourth Element
Fourth Element has launched a new line of fins – Rec Fins – a recycled scuba diving fin made from post-consumer plastic waste.
The fully recycled plastic blade of the Rec Fins is designed to deliver great diving performance, but with a much lower impact on the environment. The classic four-channel design generates thrust on both the down and upstroke of the fin, with stiffening ribs along the blade are in place to enhance diver control.
According to Fourth Element, the plastic used in the Rec Fins is sourced from post-consumer and industrial plastic waste, with the equivalent of approximately 120 plastic bottles rescued from waste streams used in every pair of fins.
The Rec Fin features adjustable silicone strap with a soft foot pocket heel pad to keep divers comfortable during long dives. The Rec Fin comes in aqua/white and black/grey colour schemes and is available in three sizes to fit shoe sizes from UK 5 – 12 (EUR 38-47)
